Dates and venues confirmed for Division 1 hurling semi-finals
The Division 1 hurling semi-finals have been confirmed, with Limerick taking on Kilkenny and Munster rivals Clare and Tipperary crossing paths for a place in the decider.
Holders Limerick concluded 1A with an away draw to Galway and will now face a Kilkenny side looking to exact some degree of revenge for recent losses to the Treaty men, most notably last year's All-Ireland and league finals.
The Cats finished a point adrift of Clare in 1A after defeating Waterford in Walsh Park.
The match will take place next Saturday, 23 March at Supervalu Pairc Ui Chaoimh with a 4.30pm throw-in on Leeside.
The following day in Portlaoise, Clare and Tipperary will meet at Laois Hire O’Moore Park with a 4pm throw-in.
Clare topped 1A courtesy of victory over Offaly today, a David Reidy free the last puck of the game in a one-point win for the Banner.
Tipp, as expected, left Corrigan Park with two points to finish runners-up to Limerick in 1B.
