'Level best' - Sheffield Wednesday trio to miss Bolton as Darren Moore makes Wanderers assessment

Sheffield Wednesday boss Darren Moore believes the clash against Bolton Wanderers is the 'fixture of the day' and feels his team will need to be at their 'level best' to get anything from the clash.

Wanderers have made an unbeaten start to the new campaign in all competitions so far. The Whites are into the second round of the Carabao Cup against Aston Villa next Tuesday evening.

And they are currently sitting fourth in League One following two wins and a pair of draws so far. Bolton will be aiming to extend that unbeaten start to the campaign when they take on the Owls at home this afternoon.

Moore's side go into the encounter on the back of a loss to Peterborough United in midweek. The Owls boss believes today's opponents have made a good start to the campaign and the Hillsborough outfit will need to be on top form to get anything from the game.

He told YorkshireLive: "They have made a very good start to the season. They are a settled team.

"They have got a rhythm and wonderful flair about them. They are a team that I would have thought are looking to make an impact in the division this season. It is a wonderful fixture for both teams. It is probably the fixture of the day.

"It will be a great game. They are a good team. We are going to have to be at our level best to get anything."

In terms of team news for the Yorkshire side, left-sided player Reece James begins his three-match suspension. Jack Hunt (throat infection) is to be assessed today.
