Sheffield Wednesday midfielder and Blackpool target attracting interest from Besiktas and Bristol City

Blackpool target Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is attracting interest from Besiktas and Bristol City according to reports.

The Sheffield Star suggest the midfielder, who the Seasiders have already had two bids rejected for this summer in the region of £1m, is gaining further interest from afar after an impressive start to the League One campaign. Dele-Bashiru has found himself on the bench for the last two matches for Wednesday as a new contract is still yet to be signed.

The 21-year-old's contract at Hillsborough expires next summer and Darren Moore has been keen for his midfielder to be part of his long-term plans as the club pushes for a return to the second tier. Turkish side Antalyaspor have also placed the midfielder on a list of potential targets, the same report suggests.

With a concrete contract offer still not on the table, the future of Dele-Bashiru will remain up in the air until the summer transfer window closes, with the Turkish window closing later than England's. Blackpool are keen to strengthen in central midfield and that need has only been exacerbated by injuries to key loanees Charlie Patino and Lewis Fiorini and the potential suspension of Sonny Carey following his red card against Burnley, a suspension that the club have appealed.

Michael Appleton has seen the central midfield area of his system as key to taking Blackpool to the next level and the club have been prepared to back him with offers in and over the £1m region for Oxford United midifelder Cameron Brannagan and Rotherham United's Dan Barlasar - Brannagan's deal falling through and a number of bids rejected for Barlasar.
