Leny Yoro injury update as Man United star spotted at Fulham game

All four of Manchester United's summer signings were involved in their first game of the Premier League season, including the injured Leny Yoro.

Joshua Zirkzee, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui posed for photographs on the Old Trafford pitch alongside their teammate, with the teenager propping himself up with crutches. Yoro used them to take the weight off his left foot.

He was 11 days removed from having successful surgery on the fifth metatarsal he fractured during last month's pre-season friendly against Arsenal. Yoro will be missing for three months, potentially returning at the start of November before that month's international break.

His appearance at Old Trafford also came hours after The Athletic reported that a possible metatarsal issue was identified during the player's medical when signing from Lille. The club are said to have handled his workload carefully, only participating in half of their training sessions.

However, the defender did start their pre-season friendly against Rangers just two days after signing before doing so again a week later and ultimately breaking down just over half an hour into that second game. Yoro then stayed with the squad for another week until the tour concluded instead of returning to England for surgery.

So, while De Ligt, Mazraoui and Zirkzee took their seats on the bench, the other summer signing climbed the Old Trafford stairs to a spot in the stands. That route included greeting Avram Glazer and Sir Dave Brailsford, who were directly behind each other at the end of their respective rows, with
