Leitrim's Leah Fox named LGFA Player of the Month

Leitrim forward Leah Fox has been honoured with The Croke Park/LGFA Player of the Month award for January 2024.

Fox has been in outstanding attacking form during the early rounds of the 2024 Lidl National League – with Leitrim sitting proudly on top of the Division 4 standings with three wins from three outings.

Leitrim, runners-up in Division 4 last year, are firmly on course for promotion to Division 3 and Fs performances to date have played a key role in her team’s progress.

Leah, 21, from the Glencar-Manorhamilton club, scored two points as Leitrim began their 2024 Lidl National League season with victory over Kilkenny.

In Round 2, she was prominent again, scoring two goals against Wicklow before contributing 3-03 in the Round 3 victory over Derry.

Leitrim’s campaign continues next Sunday when they make the trip to Donagh to take on Fermanagh.
