Leinster's Robbie Henshaw and Rónan Kelleher in mix for Sharks clash

Leinster's Robbie Henshaw and Rónan Kelleher will be given more time to prove their fitness ahead of Saturday’s BKT United Rugby Championship quarter-final against Cell C Sharks.

The Ireland duo missed last weekend’s Heineken Champions Cup semi-final win over Toulouse with quad and shoulder injuries respectively, and will be assessed during the week to determine their availability for Saturday’s knock-out game at the Aviva Stadium (5pm, live on RTÉ).

"Robbie Henshaw will be further assessed this week after picking up a minor quad issue at training last week before a final decision is made on availability," Leinster said of the 29-year-old Ireland and Lions centre.

"[Hooker] Rónan Kelleher will step up his rehabilitation this week as he recovers from a shoulder injury."

Lock Joe McCarthy (ankle) and back Tommy O’Brien (shoulder) will also be assessed this week.

The province also confirmed that Josh van der Flier, Ryan Baird and Charlie Ngatai came through the European semi-final with no issues following prior ankle, shoulder and hamstring injuries.

Prop Michael Milne (concussion) and scrum-half Cormac Foley (hamstring) are also both available for selection.

There were no further updates on Vakhtang Abdaladze (neck), Ed Byrne (tricep), Rhys Ruddock (hamstring), James Lowe (calf), Johnny Sexton (groin), Jamie Osborne (knee) and Martin Moloney (knee).
