James Lowe passed fit as Leinster make 12 changes for Champions Cup final

James Lowe has been passed fit to start for Leinster in Saturday's Heineken Champions Cup final against La Rochelle at the Aviva Stadium (live on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player).

The wing hasn't played since suffering a calf injury in their quarter-final win against Leicester Tigers last month but comes straight back into the starting team, among 12 changes from the defeat to Munster in the URC semi-final.

Thirteen of the starting XV remain from last year's final defeat to Ronan O'Gara's side, with Ross Byrne and Dan Sheehan the two fresh faces.

James Ryan captains the team as expected, with Ross Molony getting the nod to start over Jason Jenkins, who is kept on the bench.

Ahead of them, Andrew Porter, Sheehan and Tadhg Furlong make an all new front row, while Jack Conan is the only member of the pack to retain his place from last week, joined in the back row by Josh van der Flier and Caelan Doris.

Ross Byrne is named at out-half to start his first Champions Cup final, with Jamison Gibson-Park alongside him in the half-backs.

Robbie Henshaw continues in the side, but moves to inside centre, with Garry Ringrose coming in at 13.

Jimmy O'Brien is the only other survivor in the starting line-up, completing the back three with Lowe and Hugo Keenan.

Among the replacements, Cian Healy will feature in a Champions Cup final matchday squad for a record seventh time, while Ciarán Frawley pips Harry Byrne to a place on the bench.

Ireland international Ultan Dillane (above) drops to the bench for La Rochelle, who have made two changes from their semi-final win against Exeter Chiefs.

Dillane had started against the English side, but is included among the replacements on his return to Ireland, with Paul Boudehent promoted to the starting side.
