Leicester City told not to 'repeat the same mistakes' ahead of Brentford clash

Leicester City supporters are urging the club the remain cautious with reintroducing Wesley Fofana back into the first-team ahead of the international break. The 21-year-old returned on Thursday evening against Rennes for the first time in seven-and-a-half months after recovering from a fractured fibula and dislocated ankle.

The centre-back featured from the start but was withdrawn with just under a quarter of an hour remaining. Jannick Vestergaard was a like-for-like replacement as City hung onto a one-goal aggregate advantage in Brittany.

Attention now turns to the final match before the March international break against Brentford this afternoon (Sunday, 2pm). Foxes fans are calling for no risks to be taken. Here is a selection of the reaction from our Leicester Facebook page on whether Fofana should start again in the Premier League fixture.

Only if he's absolutely 100% fit. Risking a reinjury would be disastrous.

He looked good last time out. He should start but not play the full game. Too risky

Of course he should and he proved me wrong when he said I'll be back strong seven months ago. He wasn't bluffing.

They should ease him in to be fair. Don't repeat the same mistakes (JJ, Maddison, Pereira)

No, save him for the next cup game. More important than the league this year.

Absolutely not. Way too much of a risk.

Yes. And anyone, who's truly up for it...

I look at the opposition to have more than one choice for positions and or shapes as a strength and clearly what Brendan Rodgers is promoting. Only injuries have affected this, the obvious direction of travel is for each player to be as important as the other. The competition is to be the best and available whatever the opponent.
