Khamzat Chimaev has invited Conor McGregor to join him and Darren Till in their training camp as he aims to return to the octagon.
McGregor has been working towards a UFC comeback since breaking his leg last summer against Dustin Poirier, and expects to be back in the cage by as early as the summertime. And he could have some new training partners available to him after rising star Chimaev made the offer to have him join up with he and Till for his next camp.
The Swedish fighter has begun something of a bromance with British middleweight Till since the pair teamed up for training, and now it appears that they want McGregor involved. The Irishman has indicated that he wants a shot at Kamaru Usman's UFC welterweight title in his first fight back, which would push Chimaev down the pecking order in his division.
But that doesn't appear to bother the undefeated fighter, who told him in a tweet yesterday that accompanied a photo of him and Till: "If you want to come back we will help you, we are waiting for you in our camp."
Fans have been delighting in the newfound friendship between Till and Chimaev, with the Liverpool native declaring that the pair have a bromance ongoing. He told BT Sport this week : "We were messaging back-and-forth at the start and we were like 'we'll fight each other
