Leicester City team news vs Rennes - Patson Daka starts as Brendan Rodgers makes two changes

Brendan Rodgers has made two changes to his starting XI for tonight's Europa Conference League clash against French side Rennes.

Leicester City will be looking to continue their good run of form and take an advantage into next week's trip to France as they look to progress past the last 16 of the competition.

Injury to striker Jamie Vardy means that he will again have to watch from the sidelines for the next few weeks, with Patson Daka again taking his place in the starting lineup.

He will start up top with Marc Albrighton and Harvey Barnes providing support in attacking areas.

The returning James Justin is straight back into the starting lineup after missing the last three league games with a hamstring injury.

The absence of Fofana, whose comeback was delayed by a positive Covid test, means that the defensive duo of Caglar Soyuncu and Daniel Amartey play at centre-back after keeping two clean sheets in their last two games with Luke Thomas at left-back.

Wilfred Ndidi, Youri Tielemans and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall make up the midfield three in what looks like a 4-3-3 formation.

Leicester City starting XI: Schmeichel; Justin, Soyuncu, Amartey, Thomas; Ndidi, Tielemans, Dewsbury-Hall; Albrighton, Barnes, Daka.

Subs: Jakupovic, Odunze, Maddison, Iheanacho, Perez, Choudhury, Vestergaard, Lookman, Soumare.
