Leicester City must repeat same trick against PSV Eindhoven in Europa Conference League

Leicester City take on Dutch side PSV Eindhoven in the quarter-final of the Europa Conference League in just under two weeks’ time.

Excitement for City ’s run in the European competition is growing with the final in Albania now in sight. Brendan Rodgers ’ men overcame a tense two-legged tie against French side Rennes in the last 16 of the competition, coming out as 3-2 aggregate winners.

PSV have won six in a row in the league, the latest victory coming last weekend when they came out as 5-0 winners over Fortuna Sittard. The Dutch side have also scored 17 goals in their last five games in all competitions, including a 4-0 win over Copenhagen in the second leg of their round of 16 tie.

Top goalscorer Cody Gakpo has 16 goals and 15 assists in 37 appearances in all competitions so far this season prompting links to the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Barcelona in recent days. PSV also have German World Cup winger Mario Gotze in their squad with the 29-year-old scoring 11 goals and providing a further 10 assists this season.

City fans may also be aware of winger Noni Madueke who was linked with a move to the King Power Stadium last summer. The England youth international instead extended
