Leicester City star Harvey Barnes sent transfer message after Leeds United goal

Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes has been told to stay at the King Power Stadium and 'make himself a big name' like Jamie Vardy by Foxes fans.

The 24-year-old scored the only goal against Leeds United on Saturday afternoon to secure a perhaps fortunate three points and move up to 12th in the Premier League table with at least one game in hand over all their closest contenders for a top-half position.

Barnes ' strike was his first league goal since early December, having more recently scored in the FA Cup third round tie against Watford as well as in the Europa Conference League knockout round against Randers last month.

City supporters are pleased with the recent upturn in his goalscoring form. They have been commenting on City's form player on social media...

Harvey Barnes is a true footballing talent for Leicester City FC who we MUST NEVER SELL. Becoming a wonderful player for us with class. Will make himself a big name here like our JAMIE VARDY.

Love watching him play, only going to get better too, with us hopefully. Seems like a really grounded good lad too.

I thought Barnes was our biggest threat all game and took his goal really well. Shame he doesn’t always get the credit he deserves.

Barnes just needs unbroken game time and he will become a regular pick for the England international squad.

The last couple of weeks on here every article has had countless posts about how useless Barnes is and how he should be sold. Where are all these comments today? Win is a win. I wouldn’t care if a single goal went in and nobody noticed it was off the referee's backside.

Lovely to see Barnes back at his best. He’s been excellent since he was dropped.
