Leicester City team news v Rennes: Wesley Fofana starts amid four changes

Wesley Fofana comes straight back into the Leicester City starting line-up as he makes his first appearance of the season in the Europa Conference League last-16 second leg at Rennes.

The centre-back has missed the last seven months of football with a broken leg and torn ankle ligaments but after returning to fitness, he is straight back into the City 11. He partners Daniel Amartey at centre-back, with no place for Caglar Soyuncu in the squad.

That is one of four changes made to the side that lost 2-0 at Arsenal at the weekend. James Justin comes in at right-back to replace Ricardo Pereira, while Wilfred Ndidi and Youri Tielemans regain their spots from Papy Mendy and James Maddison in the midfield.z

Up front, Kelechi Iheanacho leads the line with Patson Daka absent from the squad. Boubakary Soumare is another who is missing.

Marc Albrighton, scorer in the first leg against Rennes, keeps his place on the right-hand side, ahead of Ademola Lookman. Meanwhile, Luke Thomas, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Harvey Barnes will again link up on the left-hand side.

With Danny Ward unavailable following knee surgery, Eldin Jakupovic is the senior goalkeeping option on the bench. Young American keeper Chituru Odunze is also there.
