Leicester City sent transfer demand after midfielder’s return vs OH Leuven

Leicester City were back in pre-season action this afternoon when they took on sister side OH Leuven in Belgium as both teams gear up for their new campaigns.

The game, between both the clubs owned by chairman Khun Aiyawatt (Top) Srivaddhanaprabha, was City’s second of pre-season, and the first for the returning internationals. It came after a week’s long training camp in Evian, France.

City quickly found themselves 2-0 down, but fought back to make it 2-2 just before a change of the full 11 on the 60 minute mark. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Patson Daka got the goals to level the score.

Included in the second half 11 were all three of City’s Belgian contingent; Timothy Castagne, Youri Tielemans and Dennis Praet. It was Praet’s first time in a City shirt since leaving the club to join Torino on loan last summer.

In a slight change to a normal game, an extra 30 minutes was played in order to give more players more time on the pitch. A further two goals came in that extra time as Jamie Vardy scored his first goal of pre-season to make it 3-3.

While Praet was among those returning players to leave the pitch after 90 minutes in his first match back, his performance had fans talking. The Belgian has been linked with a return to Italy this summer, with both Torino and Fiorentina said to be interested.

After the full-time whistle, fans took to social media to have their say on where the midfielder’s future should lie. Here’s what they had to say.

: Would love to see @dennispraet stay at #LCFC

: Praet is class.. #lcfc

: Can we keep Praet please @LCFC #LCFC

: Keep Praet and we are guaranteed top 4. #LCFC
