Leicester City legend outlines plan to return to club in 'senior role'

Leicester City legend Wes Morgan admitted he would "love" to be involved in a senior role at the club.

The former defender spent nine years at the King Power Stadium between 2012 and 2021 before announcing his retirement last May.

Morgan's 730th and final game was a memorable one to end his career on.

He was involved in the FA Cup final 1-0 win against Chelsea to claim the trophy for the first time in the club's history.

Now the former Jamaica international has the ambition to become the first black player become a senior executive at a Premier League club.

"I’d love to be in a senior role at Leicester City. Who knows where I’ll be, though," he said in an interview for The Times.

"The Premier League, PFA, there’s all sorts I’m involved in but as long as I’m in a position to implement change and improve the outlook of the game, that’s my priority."
