Ronaldo, Cavani, Pogba - Man United injury and team news ahead of Leicester City clash
Leicester City's injury problems are slowly easing as they look to do the double over Manchester United this weekend.
City could welcome back a centre-back partnership of Jonny Evans and Wesley Fofana for the game at Old Trafford on Saturday, it will be the first time the two defenders have played together since the FA Cup final back in May. Both Evans and Fofana have returned from injury in recent weeks.
Brendan Rodgers will look for a repeat of the reverse fixture earlier this season as they face Ralf Rangnick's men. Goals from Youri Tielemans, Caglar Soyuncu, Jamie Vardy and Patson Daka gave City a 4-2 win in a memorable afternoon at the King Power Stadium.
Soyuncu was also on the scoresheet in the same fixture last season as City came out as 2-1 winners at Old Trafford. Luke Thomas scored the opening goal of that game but is set to miss this meeting due to a hamstring injury picked up while on international duty.
Unlike City, Manchester United haven’t had too many injury concerns throughout the season, although the international break has prompted a few worries for Ralf Rangnick and his backroom staff. Here is a roundup of the latest injury and fitness news from Old Trafford.
The forward played the full 90 minutes of both Portugal games over the international break as they confirmed their place in the winter World Cup in Qatar. The 37-year-old assisted in 2-0 win over North Macedonia.
Ahead of the game against City the former Real Madrid man appears to be absent from the United squad as they met up at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester. The reason for his absence is unknown, with the forward also not present as the players stepped up their preparation for the game on the training pitch on Friday. If he is available
