Alan Brazil makes Leicester City claim that Aston Villa and Wolves fans won't like

Leicester City are the mid-table side mostly to break into the Premier League’s top six, according to talkSPORT presenter Alan Brazil.

Compared to the highs of recent seasons, which have seen the Foxes finish fifth twice and win the FA Cup, this campaign has been underwhelming, although it could still end with silverware, with City in the quarter-finals of Europa Conference League.

Leicester have picked up in recent weeks and are on course for a top-half finish ahead of potential squad overhaul in the summer. And former Ipswich Town and Scotland ace Brazil believes, with Brendan Rodgers at the helm, are better equipped than the likes of Aston Villa and Wolves to secure a top-six finish next season.

“[It’s] Leicester, if they keep Brendan and they keep spending money. Let's be honest, Leicester won it, they've got a big game coming up this weekend [against Manchester United], but Leicester with a couple more players,” said Brazil, speaking to to promote his upcoming talkSPORT live theatre show.

“The problem with them is Vardy, when he's had enough because he's still a potent threat with that pace getting in behind, they've got to somehow replace him. Wolves are a good side, I just think they lack a top-class goal scorer now. They lost Jota to Liverpool but I think they're a good footballing side. You can't discount Villa either, because Gerrard is there and he'll want to prove himself.

“A lot of people thought he should stay and wait for Liverpool but he's not, he's come in and sampled it and I think Villa will be better next year, I really do. I think Leicester are most likely still though.”
