Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga tops sales chart, beats Elden Ring and Horizon Forbidden West

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has enjoyed an excellent launch and is currently top of the UK’s boxed game sales chart, which also features the likes of Horizon Forbidden West and Elden Ring.

The game was released on April 5th and has been a critical darling since hitting shelves.

Lego Star Wars has a Metacritic score of 82 along with a user rating of 8.6 from 194 ratings.

That is a remarkably strong start to life in stores and it is little surprise that the game is flying off the shelves.

After all, Star Wars is perhaps one of the strongest entertainment IPs out there, and this game taps into both a deep well of nostalgia and offers a fresh take on an ever-expanding universe.

The game is now the fastest-selling Lego title in history, both in the United Kingdom and worldwide.

The game remains at the very top of the sales charts, per Gamesindustry.biz, and is joined by some heavy hitters.

Per the report, FIFA 22 is the second-highest seller, with the season now approaching the run-in.

At number three, Pokemon Legends: Arceus climbs two places to number three, while Mario Kart 8: Deluxe is fourth.

Perhaps surprisingly, it was a remarkably strong week for WWE 2K22, which has risen from 12th to fifth in the sales chart.
