Leeds: 'Real worry' emerges for Jesse Marsch at Elland Road

Leeds are in the process of being sucked back into a relegation dogfight, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

Jesse Marsch has done a decent job in trying to steer the Elland Road outfit away from relegation, but the form of those below them means the Yorkshire side now sit nervously above the bottom three.

When Marsch’s charges won 3-0 at Watford less than four weeks ago, they sat a healthy nine points above the drop zone and looked like their Premier League status was all-but secured despite 18th place Burnley having three games in hand.

But since Sean Dyche was sacked later that week, both Everton and Burnley’s form has improved dramatically, while Leeds have collected just a single point during that period.

Heading into the final four matches, Leeds’ destiny is now out of their hands, meaning they’re now relying on either Burnley or Everton slipping up to ensure they’re a top-flight club next season.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “The real worry for Leeds right now is that they’re getting sucked back into it. That heavy defeat to Manchester City at the weekend, coupled with a few injuries.
