Leeds: 'Big investment' likely in next few years at Elland Road

Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch is part of a “big project” at Elland Road, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The American replaced Marcelo Bielsa in the dugout last season, and Jones thinks it is an exciting time for him and the Yorkshire club, who are set to benefit from more investment over the next few years.

Marsch will be pleased with how things are going for him at Leeds following his appointment as manager back in February.

The 48-year-old, of course, kept them up in the previous campaign, while things are going extremely well this term.

Leeds have managed to take eight points from their first six games, putting them in the top half of the table.

If Marsch’s men can continue to perform like how they have been for the rest of the season, then they should avoid another relegation battle.

Leeds have recently been linked with Red Bull Salzburg striker Noah Okafor, and while Jones has not heard much about it on his end, the transfer expert can see Marsch continuing to use his connections to the benefit of the Whites and their project, which could receive some big financial backing in the near future.

Speaking to GMS, he said: “I’m not sure about this specific link, but there is no doubt that Jesse Marsch can use his links from the past to the benefit of Leeds.

“He’s part of a really big project and I think we should remember that in terms of the way everything’s going to unfold at Leeds in the next few years. There’s lots of potential investment coming in.”

Leeds had a productive summer transfer window, bringing in the likes of American duo Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams.
