Leeds could 'discover their level' in next few weeks at Elland Road

Leeds United should be looking to win five or six points from their next three Premier League games, with Jesse Marsch’s side still a bit of an unknown entity, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The American manager oversaw a hectic transfer window but results and performances so far this season have proven to be inconsistent.

There was likely concern around West Yorkshire when both Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips were sold to Barcelona and Manchester City respectively, but the club were not shy in splashing the cash either.

Just shy of £100 million was spent on eight new arrivals at Elland Road as Marsch looked to ease the pain of losing two of his star men.

The former RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg boss used his knowledge of his old clubs, bringing in Brenden Aaronson, Tyler Adams and Rasmus Kristensen from the two teams.

Elsewhere, £22 million was spent on the signing of Feyenoord winger Luis Sinisterra, who looks to have taken on the task of replacing Raphinha, while Marc Roca and Darko Gyabi have joined to bolster the midfield.

With Patrick Bamford missing 30 games through injury last season, striking reinforcements were always likely too, and Wilfried Gnonto was brought in from FC Zurich to help in that regard.

Jones believes that Marsch’s side are still in the process of gelling as a unit with six Premier League games now played.

The journalist says that their next three top-flight games will offer a better idea of where Leeds are as a unit moving forward.
