Leeds: 76-goal star's arrival 'would be surprising' at Elland Road

Leeds United ‘like’ Southampton striker Che Adams but a transfer for the 26-year-old is not imminent at Elland Road, according to Sky Sports reporter Tim Thornton.

Jesse Marsch has overseen a busy summer window but still has time to add to his squad ahead of the September 1 deadline.

Meanwhile, Leeds continue to be linked with a move for FC Zurich striker Wilfried Gnonto, with Football Insider reporting that personal terms have been agreed with the 18-year-old.

Thornton understands that Leeds like the Southampton ace but says that a deal is not imminent.

Thornton told GIVEMESPORT: “They like him, but from conversations that I’ve had, I don’t think he’s one that’s imminent for Leeds. I’d be surprised if he were to move to Leeds before the window closes.”

In 76 Premier League appearances he has found the back of the net 20 times and provided a further 10
