Leeds: £55m forwards 'absolutely on the radar' at Elland Road

Leeds United definitely have Arnaud Kalimuendo and Martin Terrier on their radar, says Sky Sports reporter Tim Thornton.

The Paris Saint-Germain and Rennes forwards have both been linked to the Yorkshire club as Jesse Marsch looks to add a new No.9 to his squad.

According to 90min, Leeds want to sign Kalimuendo but are being made to wait by PSG due to the 20-year-old impressing manager Christophe Galtier in pre-season.

Should the French outfit eventually decide to sell, though, L’Equipe states that the Whites could be looking at a €25m (£21m) fee.

For Terrier, however, the price could be much higher. As per L’Equipe (via TEAMtalk), Leeds are also keen on the Rennes man but face having to pay around £34m for his signature.

He was in excellent form for the Ligue 1 side last season, scoring 21 goals in 37 league appearances, so the above comes as no surprise.

As well as Kalimuendo and Terrier, Charles De Ketelaere of Club Brugge is another forward Leeds have reportedly targeted.

Thornton has told GIVEMESPORT that Leeds are looking at the likes of Kalimuendo and Terrier; however, the Sky Sports reporter is unsure if they will be able to get deals done.

When asked if Leeds are targeting the PSG and Rennes attackers, Thornton said: “Absolutely on the radar, but whether they can get them over the line is another matter. Kalimuendo, for example, there are a lot of clubs that have been looking at him, but I know his name came up a few weeks ago.

“Leeds, they’ll look at a lot of different options, so I suspect they’ve asked the question but, obviously, they’ll face competition if they want to pursue it.”

At 20, Kalimuendo has a lot of talent and potential, which was on display during his loan spell at Lens last season.
