Leeds ‘don’t want to sell’ £40m star at Elland Road

Leeds United ‘don’t want to sell’ winger Jack Harrison this summer despite the interest in him, according to Sky Sports reporter Tim Thornton.

The 25-year-old is believed to be on Newcastle United’s radar as Eddie Howe looks to improve his attacking options, but they may be forced to move onto alternative targets.

Back in May, The Telegraph revealed that Newcastle were eager to snap up Harrison this summer despite Leeds managing to avoid relegation on the final day of the Premier League campaign.

And French outlet FootMercato have now claimed that the Magpies have tabled a €40 million (£33.7m) offer for the former England Under-21 international.

“So, unless somebody comes in with a massive offer, I think he’ll stay at Elland Road.

“But it’s whether somebody’s prepared to maybe put a figure on (the negotiating table) that Leeds think, ‘yeah, we might be prepared to talk at that figure.’ As things stand, I don’t see that happening.”

Leeds have already lost two key players in Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha this summer, and watching Harrison walk out
