Lee Johnson admits Hibs punter STICK for Luzern team selection as Dylan Vente revels in 'crazy' debut glory

Dylan Vente insists his “dream” debut goal can be the first of many for Hibs as Lee Johnson’s side edged towards a play-off money-spinner against Aston Villa.

Vente’s name rang round the ground as he was subbed off after his strike. And he said: "The atmosphere is crazy, I like it. It's nice to hear the fans have a song for me, and hopefully it's the first goal of many. I was excited to play my first game here, and 3-1 and a goal is the best way for me to start. It’s a great feeling, a great atmosphere and I’m a happy guy. It’s a dream to score on my debut. As a striker you want to score and when I scored I don’t remember what happened next! It’s a great feeling.

“It’s up to us what happens next week. 3-1 is a good position but we’re not there we have to make sure we’re ready for next week, that’s the job. They’re a good team, they play good football but they played hard as well.

“It’s new for me. I only trained four or five times. But the players gave me a warm welcome. I feel at home already and that’s important. I think you saw that tonight.

“My first four years when I played for Feyenoord was also a crazy atmosphere. The last two years I’ve played for Roda – the stadium is similar to here but there were not as many fans as now. But I liked this atmosphere. It gave me an extra boost to play. I liked it."
