Lee Gregory, Sunderland and contract talks - Behind the scenes at Sheffield Wednesday

No, I don't think he will be in attendance for the semi-finals. He is back in Thailand at the moment.

I am sure he and the family will be keeping a close eye on the games.

There is a lot riding on the next two, potentially three matches. Much could hinge on what division Wednesday are playing in next season.

The squad will be broken up over the summer. They have got seven loan players on their books so there will be gaps to fill. Some change is inevitable.

The three mentioned probably do see themselves as Championship players.

There is an option with Hunt based on promotion to the Championship and him playing a certain number of matches. Luongo's deal is up at the end of the season and he may have options elsewhere but Gregory is under contract for next year.

Not sure at this stage. It would not surprise me in the slightest if they were in talks with Luongo and Hutchinson. They are two important players in this team.

Luongo has made a big difference to the midfield. His combative qualities give Byers and Bannan the licence to get forward and make things happen.

Hutchinson has been a steady performer at the back. Their experience will be vital in the play-offs.

Darren Moore is due to speak to the media this afternoon and will no doubt be asked about Bannan. I have heard a suggestion he went off with cramp but that has not been confirmed by the club.

My gut instinct is Bannan will play on Friday. He seemed in good spirits on the lap of appreciation with his family after Portsmouth. He will be absolutely desperate to play and help the team reach Wembley.
