Landslide overnight shuts road and drivers warned - live updates
Police have partially closed a road near Port Talbot after a landslide overnight.
The A4107 Afan Valley Road is partially closed between A4107 Afan Valley Road prior to Pontrhydyfen and A4107 Station Road, Cymmer. Officers say there will be delays in the area and ask all drivers to avoid the route where possible.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "We are at the scene of a landslide on the A4107 Afan Valley Road.
"The road is currently closed in both directions between A4107 Afan Valley Road prior to Pontrhydyfen and A4107 Station Road, Cymmer. It is expected to remain closed for some time.
"Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. Delays are expected in the area. Your patience is appreciated."
Police then issued an update at around 4am, to say the road had partially reopened.
