Kyle Walker ‘keen to talk to Bayern Munich’ and more Man City transfer rumours
Kyle Walker is eager to speak with Bayern Munich regarding their transfer interest, according to a report.
The Manchester City defender is being linked with a move to the Bundesliga champions after fulfilling his dream of winning the Champions League. Bayern are said to be confident that a deal can be struck, although no agreement has yet been reached.
That’s according to Sky Sports, who add that talks are ongoing with the full-back during City’s pre-season tour. Face-to-face discussions could be held in Tokyo next week, the report suggests, with the Blues due to take on Bayern on Wednesday.
The Germans are thought to be preparing a two-year deal for Walker, who joined City in 2017 and now has just 12 months remaining on his contract.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola has been linked with an interest in Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella, who has three years left on his contract. Tuttomercato claims the 26-year-old could be brought in as a replacement for Bernardo Silva, who has been linked with a switch to Paris Saint-Germain.
No approach has yet been made. City may have to contend with a number of departures this summer. Ilkay Gundogan has left for Barcelona and Riyad Mahrez is destined for Saudi Arabia having been left out of the pre-season tour squad.
Aymeric Laporte has also been linked with an exit while Joao Cancelo is expected to leave. City have already purchased Mateo Kovacic but their chase of Josko Gvardiol has been muddied by comments from RB Leipzig officials on Friday, who suggest a deal is not as close as first thought.
