Kristoffer Ajer reveals time Rangers daft taxi driver swore and threw him OUT because he played for Celtic

Kristoffer Ajer claims he was thrown out of a taxi after a sweary rant from the driver...simply because he played for Celtic.

The Norway defender was at Parkhead all throughout the treble Treble before his £13.5m move to Brentford which was a club record for the Premier League club at that time. And it was shortly after the first of those triumphs in 2018 that he called a taxi to the airport to get his summer holidays started in the early hours of the morning.

Ajer had planned to jump in a cab to Glasgow airport but when his lift pulled up, his plans were briefly thrown into turmoil. That was because the driver refused to take him, swearing at him and telling him 'I know who you play for.' Speaking about his time at Celtic in an interview with The Times, Ajer said: "The taxi arrived at 4.30am and I jumped in. The driver turned around and said, ‘I know who you play for, get the f*** out of my taxi.’

"I had to call another and be sure he was a Celtic fan. Crazy. The rivalry with Rangers could be quite extreme. But that also made me absolutely love Glasgow and Celtic."
