Kris Ajer in cheeky Rangers vs Celtic rivalry reminder as he leaves his mark on Nathan Young Coombes debut top

Kris Ajer made his mark on Celtic after five trophy-laden years spent at Parkhead.

And he made sure former Rangers kid Nathan Young-Coombes has a permanent reminder of his love of the Hoops.

Teenager starlet Young-Coombes hooked up with with the big Norwegian after following him to Brentford in the summer.

And after an initial time spent in the youth ranks he came on for a dream top team debut in the west London club’s 3-0 win over Southampton in the Premier League at the weekend.

Young-Coombes was presented with a shirt after the match signed by Thomas Frank’s stars, including Christian Eriksen.

But Ajer couldn’t resist a cheeky reminder that the pair were once on opposite sides of the Old Firm divide with his message.

The defender wrote ‘Hail Hail’ next to his name on the Bees top who signed a three-year deal at the Brentford Community Stadium after he was released by Rangers.

After coming off the bench late at the weekend, he said: "The B Team has put me in good stride to play against men's first teams - I've done it all season.

“We've played against a variety of different teams, and this is the final hurdle and just trying to make it over.

"We're always slotting into the first team training, we're always being around the first team boys.

"It's just the way the B Team is set up, it allows us to slide into a Premier League game, and I can't give any more credit to the B Team staff.”
