Kieran Tierney set for Arsenal transfer showdown as 'unsatisfactory' Real Sociedad stay makes Gunners future clear

Kieran Tierney will be back at Arsenal this summer with Real Sociedad bound to not pursue a permanent move.

The Scotland international and Celtic hero is out in La Liga this season on a temporary basis from the Emirates but has again had the injury bug bite. He has played just 14 times over 834 minutes since the summer, with injuries proving a hinderance at Arsenal and eventually seeing him fall out of favour under Mikel Arteta.

He will be back this summer though for conversations on what comes next for him, according to Gol. They claim that Real Sociedad are targeting a pre-contract move for Real Betis' Juan Miranda, who is also a target for AC Milan. It was believed he'd made a verbal agreement with the Italian giants but Sociedad are keen to keep him in Spain. And it relates back to Tierney's purchase option available in his initial loan deal.

It is claimed: "Everything indicates that Real Sociedad wants Miranda's services, since they decided that they will not carry out the purchase option that exists in Kieran Tierney's contract. Although he came as a great defender for Arsenal, what he has shown at the Reale Arena has not left anyone satisfied. Which is why they will only have him until the end of the season."

Tierney will therefore head back to Arsenal at the end of the season, where he will find out whether he does or doesn't have an Emirates future. Gunners hero Emmanuel Petit said earlier this week that Arteta should consider a recall.
