Kerry's Kayleigh Cronin lands final monthly LGFA prize in 2024
Kerry's Kayleigh Cronin has won with the Croke Park Hotel/LGFA Player of the Month award for August.
Kerry ended a 31-year wait for TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship glory in style with a stunning final victory against Galway at Croke Park on Sunday 4 August.
At full-back, Dr Crokes star Cronin produced an exceptional performance that earned her the Player of the Match award.
Cronin's final performance was in keeping with her form throughout the season, as the Kingdom made up for back-to-back final losses in 2022 and 2023 to get their hands on the Brendan Martin Cup for the first time since 1993.
A 2022 TG4 All Star, the 27-year-old was a rock at the heart of the Kerry defence on their march to the ultimate prize, while the team managed by Declan Quill and Darragh Long also captured the Munster title for the first time since 2017.
She was presented with her award in Dubln today.
