Kenny Miller claims Rangers have Celtic fans PANICKING as pundit senses fear inspired by Philippe Clement

Kenny Miller reckons resurgent Rangers have Celtic fans panicking - but still thinks it's the Hoops who are favourites for the December 30 derby.

It was beginning to look like the title was sewn up towards the end of the disastrous Michael Beale era but Philippe Clement has restored some solidity to Rangers and their improved form has coincided with a dramatic dip from the champions. It means the gap now sits at five points between the two clubs, with Gers holding two games in hand.

The Glasgow momentum seems to be swinging towards Ibrox with Rangers also getting their hands on the Viaplay Cup at the weekend. Celtic meanwhile have lost successive league games to Kilmarnock and Hearts and their defeat to the Jambos at Parkhead at the weekend was met with fan fury as chants of 'sack the board' were heard ringing out in sections of the stadium.

And former striker Miller, who played for both teams but is best remembered for his three spells at Ibrox, is sensing some Parkhead panic setting in. They've allowed Rangers back into this title race and you can sense a little bit of panic setting in in the stands.

"Not necessarily with Brendan Rodgers and his players, but in the stands, they can sense that Rangers are moving in the right direction, they've got a new manager who is a winner.
