Kate Garraway admits 'punch in the stomach' as she marks tearful 'personal' first after Derek Draper's death

Kate Garraway was left tearful as she marked a 'personal' first following the death of her husband Derek Draper. It was in January that the former Labour lobbyist sadly passed away.

Kate announced on January 5 that her husband and father of her two children had sadly passed away, almost four years after Covid changed his and his family's life forever.

After Derek's death, Kate featured in her third documentary, Kate Garraway: Derek's Story', which followed the health struggles of her late husband and his subsequent passing. The film, which featured Derek speaking about his condition in his own words, has been nominated for a National Television Award (NTA).

Sitting at home as she spoke to the camera, Kate said: "I mean, it still is my 20th wedding anniversary to Derek. It's just... it's one of those days that we talked about like Christmas to come. Easter. All of those things. His
