Jurgen Klopp's story of meeting Sir Alex Ferguson will always be brilliant
Jurgen Klopp will go down as one of Liverpool‘s greatest ever managers.
With the club mired in mediocrity when he first joined back in 2015, Klopp has overseen some of the headiest days in their history, turning the club into genuine world beaters.
He was the mastermind who finally ended the painful Premier League drought that had bedevilled the club for decades earning him a spot among the pantheon of greats to have graced the Anfield sidelines.
He also lead the Merseysiders to the top of the European mountain in 2019 as they overcame Tottenham to clinch Champions League glory in Madrid.
As a result, Klopp is now one of the most respected managers in the game but it hasn’t always been that way.
Back when he was still cutting his teeth in the managerial world though, Klopp was nothing more than a small fish trying to find his way in a big pond.
However, it wasn’t long before Klopp started making waves in that pond, resulting in him landing an invitation to a global managers forum in New York city.
Klopp, who was manager of the Borussia Dortmund at the time, recently recounted the tale of how he arrived early and wound up meeting one of the true managerial heavyweights of all time, Sir Alex Ferguson.
