You’ll have had to have been living under a rock to avoid the speculation linking Liverpool with Jude Bellingham in recent months.

The Reds are known to be interested in the England international but, admittedly, they aren’t the only ones with a number of top European clubs also monitoring the midfielder’s situation. Yet, with Borussia Dortmund adamant that the 19-year-old won’t be sold this year, having already seen Erling Haaland depart for Man City in a £51m deal this summer, the teenager’s suitors have no choice but to play the waiting game.

Some Liverpool fans are adamant that their side need to strengthen their midfield ranks this summer. Yet with the club having decided not to sign a midfielder until 2023, and seemingly done in terms of incomings for the year, such a stance has only further fueled speculation and prompted assumptions that the Reds are waiting for Bellingham.

Given the interest in the midfielder, such a transfer, even with Dortmund willing to sell in
