Jurgen Klopp gives Liverpool injury news for Man City FA Cup fixture amid Diogo Jota concern

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is expecting to have all of his key players available for Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City at Wembley.

Liverpool, like City, progressed to the semi-finals of the Champions League on Wednesday evening following a breath-taking 3-3 draw with Benfica at Anfield. The Merseyside outfit won the first-leg 3-1 in Portugal last week, winning 6-4 on aggregate.

Klopp clearly had one eye on Saturday's tussle with City, making numerous changes to his starting line-up against the Liga Nos outfit, resting Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson, Fabinho, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane. Salah and Mane stepped off the bench in the second-half, but the likes of Van Dijk and Robertson were not risked at all.

Unsurprisingly, his decision to make seven changes to the side that drew with City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday attracted a wave of questions about Liverpool's fitness levels, but Klopp said it was nothing more than rotation. However, he did confirm that Diogo Jota picked a knock in the first-half — although it was too early for him to diagnose its severity.

Klopp, speaking in his post-match press conference, said: "We missed him [Van Dijk]. We played the last line with completely a new [defence] and we missed the boys of the last line. He's not injured.

"Diogo got a knock in the first half. That's what I know.

"About Mo's knock, I don’t know really. Nobody told me yet. I exchanged with two physios. Nobody told me Mo has a problem.

"For the moment, everybody should be fine."
