ITV Coronation Street fans praise 'legend' Andy Whyment for drunk topless karaoke video on holiday in Maldives

Coronation Street's Andy Whyment has proved why he's lovable both on and off the screen as he has shared an insight into his holiday in the Maldives. The actor who plays one of the soap's most iconic character's Kirk Sutherland posted a video of himself 'living his best life' with his pals in the tropical holiday spot.

Andy, 41, shared a video of himself and a friend performing Robbie William's hit song 'Angels' on karaoke whilst topless and admittedly 'drunk'. The pair belted out the classic tune in a bar and even treated the audience to some harmonies whilst a guitarist played along.

Despite being one of the soap's biggest stars, Corrie's Andy is known for being relatable, humorous and down to earth which fans saw during his stint on I'm A Celebrity back in 2019, where he came runner-up to Jacqueline Jossa.

In the clip the actor is barefoot wearing nothing but some blue swimming shorts whilst sporting a bit of sunburn on his chest. He appears to be having the time of his life during his drunken rendition of Robbie's hit from 1997, which is a popular choice of karaoke song.

And Andy's fans and friends couldn't get enough of the video, with many praising him for being so normal and others calling him a 'legend'.

"You're human Andy, that's why we love you!! Carry on & enjoy," commented Lynda.

"Classssss effort mate!! Always up for a laugh, never a dull moment, hope you're having a
