Jung Ho-Yeon suffers brutal Celtic slap down from OWN manager amid loaded warning over Parkhead's South Korea trio

Rising star Jung Ho-Yeon has sensationally been warned he is 'not good enough' to shine for Celtic by his own manager.

Straight-shooting Gwangju FC boss Lee Jung-Hyo also claimed Brendan Rodgers' side's three South Korean players have all failed to adapt so far to life in Scotland. Celtic were linked last week for a move for a fourth South Korean with 23-year-old midfielder Jung reportedly monitored by Parkhead scouts He helped his club win promotion to the K-League last season and has played 18 times for Gwangju this term.

However, any move to Glasgow would come too soon according to his boss Lee. He said: "I haven’t heard anything, but Jung doesn't have the quality to go to Celtic. I hope he grows up, improves and eventually goes. But in its current situation, there is a high probability that he would come straight back. He needs to develop more in terms of skill and technique to be considered for a move to Europe."

And Lee also claimed that Celtic's South Korean stars are struggling to settle. Celtic have Yang Hyun-jun, Oh Hyeon-gyu and Kwon Hyeok-kyu in their squad although none of them are certain starters. But Lee stated: "Right now, those three players at Celtic are not adapting. They still need more time."
