Bemused Brendan Rodgers takes Celtic issue with no goal in County win and insists 'I didn't see that as a good decision'

Brendan Rodgers admitted he was left scratching his head at a couple of decisions after watching Celtic move eight points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a 3-0 win over 10-man Ross County.

The Irishman was bemused by the decision by referee David Munro to chop off a Liam Scales goal for an alleged foul by Oh in the build up after he challenged Jordan White for the ball in the box. Daizen Maeda was also ruled to be marginally offside in the build-up to Oh’s ruled out strike before David Turnbull’s eventual opener for the Hoops.

Subs Luis Palma and James Forrest added further goals in a comfortable win in the end against the Highlanders, who had James Brown sent off for a lunge on Yang. Rodgers told Sky Sports after the game: “We created a lot of chances with some goals disallowed which I’ll have to see again, especially the offside and even the one before that, early on, where there’s two guys jumping for the ball and the ball lands and we finish and it’s given as a no goal. So I don’t see that as a good decision.

“It’s always a different challenge. Obviously they went down to 10 men early in the game and give credit to Ross County because they fought ever so hard and went man to man and that’s always a different challenge for you as a team. But the guys kept going, kept persevering, and we scored three outstanding goals. The guys have that quality. David Turnbull again with a wonderful strike, it’s his second goal from outside the box this week, and then Luis Palma. A brilliant goal and a great dink for the third goal. And the keeper made a number of fantastic saves.
