Judd Trump in astonishing grump as INSECTS cause havoc at Ally Pally amid mega moans over Masters venue

Judd Trump has called on the Ally Pally to sort out it's wasp problem after his stinging Masters defeat to Ali Carter.

The Ace in the Pack suffered a 6-5 loss despite holding a 4-2 lead. But the infamous Ally Pally wasp made an appearance as it landed on the World No 2's back during the seventh frame. Despite that, he was still able to make a 100 break but it wasn't enough to prevent Carter swatting Trump away to exact revenge for his defeat in the final of the Wuhan Open.

His plea for the venue to clean up it's act comes on the back of Ronnie O'Sullivan getting the "heebie-jeebies," branding it "disgusting." Play has had to be stopped of several occasion after insects rested on the balls and baize. After the buzz of the PDC World Darts Championship over Christmas and New Year, which sees boozed up fans pack the Palace and bring the noise, the conditions are bugging the more genteel snooker stars.

“It’s not the reason I lost but it’s never nice because you can’t get in a flow. It’s gone on too long."

Carter admitted the winged intruder affected him too, saying: "I was trying not to get stung by a wasp.”

O'Sullivan went further when he took aim at the Ally Pally earlier this week, complaining of the cold and cleanliness."I just don't like this place. I find it disgusting.

"Everywhere is dirty. It's cold. It's freezing, I have to wear my coat everywhere. You go through car parks. There are bins. Honestly, it just makes me feel ill.

"I'm a bit of a clean freak and when I come in here it gives me the heebie-jeebies. I just can't wait to get out of here."

Things weren't any better for Scots favourite John Higgins. The Wishaw Wizard crashed out in the first round after losing to Mark Allen.
