Jota purrs over Henrik Larsson's Celtic chip as he gets first look at 'main man's' iconic Rangers goal

Jota was left purring over Henrik Larsson’s famous Old Firm chip after being shown it for the first time.

The Swede's iconic Celtic strike against their rivals during Martin O’Neill’s first derby in charge of the Hoops. And it was one to remember as they battered Dick Advocaat’s side 6-2 at Celtic Park to set the tone for a Treble winning season. Chris Sutton opened the scoring inside the first minute before Stiliyan Petrov doubled the lead on eight minutes. Paul Lambert put the game beyond Rangers after just 11 as the shellshocked Light Blues struggled to come to terms with what had hit them in Glasgow’s East End.

Claudio Reyna pulled one back before the break, but Larsson re-established the three-goal cushion from the spot five minutes later. Billy Dodds then grabbed another for the visitors on 55 minutes, but that was it as far as Rangers goals were concerned.

It was then Larsson’s moment of magic as he picked up the ball midway inside his own half and ran, nutmegged Bert Konterman and then dinked over Klos. Sutton made it six in stoppage time, but Larsson stole the show. Jota admitted he’d heard about the goal but hadn't actually seen it, and his reaction said it all.

“Here we go, it's the main man…oooh….ooooh!” He cooed. “I haven’t seen this. I know he did this before but I haven’t seen this.

“Oh wow. Oh man. The guy’s class isn’t he? Well done. Only top players can do this.”
