Jota keeps it Celtic with Cameron Carter Vickers as holiday snap hints transfer duo are in no rush to leave

With the season over and the Scottish Premiership title in the bag, Celtic fans are turning their heads towards the summer transfer window.

There's understandable excitement considering what Ange Postecoglou has delivered so far, with a clutch of shrewd January arrivals proving pivotal in beating Rangers to the league trophy.

And while it's inevitable new potential targets will pass through the rumour mill in the weeks and months, it's two familiar faces fans are currently pre-occupied with.

Their names are Jota and Cameron Carter-Vickers and hopes are high that the on-loan pair will commit themselves permanently to Celtic before long.

The club have a £6million option to sign Jota from Benfica and are also keen to keep Tottenham defender Carter-Vickers following a hugely impressive season.

Optimism spiked further on Tuesday when the pair were pictured off on holiday with their Celtic team-mates, with the indication being they'e in no hurry to cut ties with the club any time soon.

Jota and Carter-Vickers were pictured alongside Stephen Welsh, Carl Starfelt and others at a restaurant in Ibiza, as posted on Starfelt's Instagram story.

The duo can perhaps expect some unofficial signing negotiations in the same vein as Josip Juranovic's plea to Jota on Saturday.

Footage from the Celtic Park title celebrations captured Juranovic seeming appealing to the Portuguese winger's family to ensure he remains in Glasgw beyond the summer.
