Josko Gvardiol given first Man City start in predicted line-up vs Sevilla in UEFA Super Cup

Josko Gvardiol could get a first start for Manchester City on Wednesday evening when his side face Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup

City are enjoying their first involvement in the competition after winning the Champions League as part of last season's treble. They face a Sevilla side in Athens who are regulars in the annual clash, having won five of the last 10 Europa League titles.

Pep Guardiola could be without four first-team players for the clash, with Kevin De Bruyne, Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva not available while John Stones is a doubt after missing the 3-0 win at Burnley on Friday. Belgian midfielder De Bruyne started at Turf Moor but looks set to be out for several months after suffering a hamstring injury.

Prices start from £55

City are expected to name a strong side as they look to land their first trophy of the new season, and Gvardiol could get a full debut after joining from RB Leipzig in a £77.5million deal. The Croatia international came off the bench to play at left-back on Friday evening, and though Guardiola has hinted he could wait to hand him his full debut, the Sevilla clash could be a good chance to throw him in given City's defensive injury issues.

Rico Lewis could again slot in at left-back with Kyle Walker retaining his place at right-back. Stefan Ortega could be the man behind them amid links with Bayern Munich.
