Joshua Zirkzee's awkward message amid claim Ruben Amorim doesn't want him
Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee was full of optimism after arriving from Bologna - but Ian Wright has warned that he could fail to deliver under new manager Ruben Amorim.
The Dutch forward was signed for £36.5 million as Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS' first summer signing and quickly got off the mark by scoring against Fulham in the opening game of the season. Yet, Zirkzee has since gone 16 games without finding the net for United.
The forward has earned just seven starts this season, having struggled to move ahead of Rasmus Hojlund in the pecking order However, Arsenal legend Wright is unconvinced that the striker will begin to thrive under Amorim, which is all a far cry from Zirkzee's first message as a United player.

"I have a lot of trust and a good feeling about this step," Zirkzee said after signing for United. "It wasn't a difficult decision [to move to Man Utd]. I mean, I love Bologna a lot, but, yeah, Manchester United just gave me a very, very good feeling and [I am] very confident what's planned will also happen."
Fresh from his successful season with Bologna, the 23-year-old was full of confidence upon his arrival at Old Trafford. A difficult start to the season may have caused that to wane but Wright feels Zirkzee is unlikely to find top form in a United shirt, unlike his team mate Hojlund.
Speaking on the Wrighty's House podcast, the Arsenal icon said: "I can't see in any formation Zirkzee making it from what I've seen so far. I can see it with Hojlund. He looks like a future player with better players
