Jose Mourinho snubs Manchester United twice as he reflects on his career after Roma win

Jose Mourinho snubbed Manchester United twice as he was asked to reflect on his career following Roma's Europa Conference League triumph.

Mourinho's Roma lifted the inaugural trophy in Albania after Nicolo Zaniolo scored the only goal of the game to beat Dutch side Feyenoord in the final. At full time, the visibly emotional Portuguese coach celebrated Roma's first ever major European trophy.

At a post-match press conference, Mourinho listed clubs he now supported after managing them and United failed to make the list. He explained: "Of course I feel like a Romanista, but that might be my way of working.

"I am a Porto fan, an Inter fan, a Chelsea fan, I am crazy about Real Madrid, I am now a Roma fan, I belong to all those clubs because we had these moments together." Mourinho led the Reds to the League Cup, Community Shield and Europa League during the 2016/17 season.

However, despite this, the 59-year-old insisted that the Europa League victory was not a special moment in his career. "The great thing about my career is that, aside from the Europa League with Manchester United, doing it with Porto, Inter and Roma is very, very, very special," he added.

With Porto and Inter, Mourinho lifted the Champions League while he also led Porto to the UEFA Cup (now Europa League) in the 2002/03 campaign.
