Jose Mourinho has reportedly dropped Felix Afena-Gyan from the Roma first-team for the "next few weeks" after it was discovered he had been out clubbing the night before a game.
Already a fully-fledged Ghana international at 19 years of age, Afena-Gyan made headlines earlier this season when he scored a dramatic brace in what was just his third Serie A appearance to win the game for Roma.
Another nine appearances for the club have duly followed, but he will not be seen in the squad for at least three weeks according to Italian outlet Il Messaggero.
Mourinho will be taking strict action and briefly exile Afena-Gyan from the first-team fold due to the fact he had visited a nightclub last Saturday night.
The teenager was unavailable for Sunday's trip to Spezia because of a small injury and in turn returned to the club's training base in Trigoria alongside fellow crocked teammates Benjamin Tahirovic and Jan Oliveras.
Mourinho is thought to be incredibly disappointed by Afena-Gyan's conduct, especially given the fact the club have warned their stars to avoid attending public, crowded venues.
Italian internationals Nicolò Zaniolo and Stephan El Shaarawy were also spotted in a nightclub less than a fortnight ago, though only the former has been dropped since.
