Jose Cifuentes breaks Rangers transfer exit silence as madcap sing song offers cryptic message

Rangers star Jose Cifuentes has broken his silence on a potential Ibrox exit - by taking social media to belt out a song.

The Light Blues have accepted a bid fro Turkish club Rizespor that looks set to allow the Ecuador international to leave the Scottish Premiership this month. The 24-year-old is understood to be on the verge of securing a loan deal with the Turkish side holding the option to buy him for a fee of around £2million in the summer.

The exit arrives after only coming through the doors in Govan in August for £1.2 million as one of ex-boss Michael Beale's key signings from Major League Soccer outfit Los Angeles FC - with the Londoner predicting the midfielder would take is side to the "next level." However, Philippe Clement clearly feels differently having barely handed Cifuentes any game time.

His last appearance came in the 3-2 Europa League victory over Real Betis in December - but Clement hooked the midfielder at half-time. Cifuentes has only managed 20 Rangers appearances in all competitions this term so far.

And Cifuentes did not appear too disheartened to be on the move as he took to Instagram to belt out a tune for his followers. Sharing two clips to his story he could be seen signing the tune Tesoro by Maverick City Music.

Notably, he can be heard chiming with the lyric that - when translated from Spanish - says: "You are everything I have dreamed of, much more than I imagined." It could be a tribute to his time at Gers - or could he be imagining bigger things in the Super Lig?
