Jordan White warns Celtic that Ross County are 'comfortable' on home turf after Hibs impact

Jordan White believes Ross County can maintain their free-scoring run and pressure Celtic in Dingwall.

The Highlanders return home on Saturday to face the champions after three successive games on the road. County have hit five in the last two away days at Motherwell and Hibs and White hopes the spree continues against the table toppers. The 31-year-old has an excellent scoring record of his own against the Old Firm and, having climbed off the bench to nab a point for Malky Mackay’s men at Easter Road, is keen to keep it up.

White said: “We are looking forward to a home game, albeit against Celtic. But we are at home and we are comfortable there. We go into every game with the same mindset. We look at all the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition, no matter who it is. We always believe we can get a result. In the last two games we have scored five goals, so that’s pleasing. We believe we can score goals on Saturday again.”

County looked in big trouble at 2-0 down in Leith before their stirring fightback. White said: “In Scotland, if you get a goal it puts teams under pressure. Obviously we got a bit of fortune with the first one. But, as soon as we got that, we were going for it.

“As a team, we went through a spell of four games with not really scoring enough. But before that, and in the last two games, we know we can score.

“There are so many goals in the team as we get great deliveries into the box. We know we are always going to get chances so we feel we are never out of the game.”
