David: Best chance lies with Barnes, who is miles off an England call-up. Gray’s family connections may sway him also but I reckon the three others fancy the Three Lions more than the Lion Rampant.

Fraser:Steve Clarke has proved pretty crafty at choosing the right time to make his move. Gordon is sure to get a Three Lions call soon but Livramento has so much talent in front of him in an England shirt that he could well be tempted north. Gray’s family could work in our favour too.

Michael: I don't like the idea of twisting arms to play for national teams. Ask the question and if there’s humming and hawing then move on. If they have a change in heart down the line, then let them do the running.
